Arguably the most complex end grain cutting board pattern in the world. Almost like a painting that you can cut on. This unique piece was inspired by the towering Three Sisters mountain range that overlooks the beautiful town of Canmore, Alberta.
This pattern was created solely with cuts made on a table saw. No CNC equipment or design software were used in the making of this art piece.
Each cutting board is individually hand crafted from 100% North American hardwood lumber, no dyes or stains are added. A combination of maple, ash, cherry, and black walnut were used to create this stunning piece.
Although the average end grain cutting board requires 2-3 glue-ups to create their patterns, this Three Sisters mountainscape requires a staggering 86 glue-ups! It took an entire month just to complete all of the cuts
All CHOPD end grain cutting boards are designed to be used on both sides, vastly increasing their lifespan and versatility. One face of the cutting board contains a deep juice groove to help contain messes when slicing up a succulent piece of meat. The other side of the board is left flat and is as smooth as glass. Perfect for slicing up anything you throw at it. A unique concave profile wraps around the entire board, making it easy to lift from any place.
